Free clinic

The Free Clinic is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. It is staffed by a full-time executive director and a part-time nursing coordinator and is governed by an 11 member volunteer board of directors. The Free Clinic was created by community leaders in response to a need identified in the 2003 Madison County Needs Assessment. The mission of the Madison County Health Partners (MCHP) Free Clinic is to provide healthcare services to the uninsured population of Madison County. The Free Clinic is able to fulfill its mission through the use of volunteer medical professionals and financial support received from the local community and grants.

Volunteer physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, clergy and lay persons see patients on Monday evenings; however, other patient clinics are offered throughout the week based on physician availability. Patients must schedule an appointment and are seen at the Free Clinic building north of the hospital.
