Projects of
the Auxiliary
Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon
Every year, auxiliary members and volunteers are honored at a special
awards luncheon and annual meeting. Achievements are noted, awards
are presented and the hospital recognizes those who do so many generous
things to ensure high quality health care for the community.
Bake-Nic
Bake-Nic is one of the largest events coordinated entirely by the
Madison County Hospital Auxiliary. Bake-Nic is a giant sale of homemade
pies, cookies, brownies, breads and noodles donated by volunteers
and community members. Bake-Nic envelops locations throughout Madison
County, including the hospital's main lobby, our satellite locations,
banks and government offices. The one-day sweet-a-thon doesn't stop
until all the goodies are sold!
Book Sale
Whether it's children's books, cookbooks, home fix-it guides or
novels, our book sale always offers something for everyone. This
biannual sale offers the community a special shopping opportunity.
Fall Fling Card Party & Style Show
As its name indicates, The Fall Fling Card Party & Style Show is
a day of fun-filled games, fashion and food! Fall Flingers get to
play their choice of card games, see the latest fashions and enjoy
delicious desserts and win great door prizes.
Geranium Sale
Beautify your garden and help the Auxiliary at the same time.
Each spring, the Madison County Hospital Auxiliary hosts a Geranium
Sale, selling more than 1,400 geranium plants to residents, businesses
and friends.
Gift Shop
The Madison County Hospital Gift Shop is located in the front lobby
of the hospital and is open to the public. Auxiliary members and
volunteers manage and operate the shop 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday
through Friday, and flexible weekend hours.
The Gift Shop stocks stuffed animals and cheery gifts suitable for
patients. Also available is a full selection of cards, magazines,
unique gifts and seasonal items for the discriminating shopper.
Gift Shop proceeds total $30,000 annually. The Auxiliary designates
these funds to capital improvement projects throughout the hospital.
The Gift Shop can only succeed with the generous support of our
Auxiliary and volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering
a few hours each week, please call Gift Shop Manager Edie Tolley,

Jewelry Sale
Every year, Gold Coast Promotions visits Madison County Hospital
to host our annual jewelry sale. Choose from gold and silver jewelry,
watches and a variety of genuine gemstones.
Holiday Gift Show
When you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping
in the city, come to the Madison County Hospital Auxiliary Holiday
Gift Show for your seasonal gift needs! Early each November as the
holidays creep closer, the Auxiliary holds its annual Holiday Gift
Show, showcasing gift ideas for everyone. The two-day event is always
a hit, featuring items like snowman collectibles and holiday wreaths,
blankets and stocking stuffers, in addition to our full line of
gift merchandise. |
