Madison County Hospital provides the following benefits to our employees:

Health Plan
All full-time and part-time benefits eligible employees are eligible to participate in the health plan provided through Aetna. Employees have a choice between basic and enhanced coverage. Benefits include in-network and out-of-network benefits, office visit co-payments, prescription coverage, and other preventative coverage.

Dental Plan
All full-time and part-time benefits eligible employees are eligible for PPO dental insurance provided through Aetna. Benefits include coverage for preventative, basic, major, and orthodontic services.

Vision Plan
All full-time and part-time benefits eligible employees are eligible for vision coverage through VSP. Benefits include vision exams and materials covered with a co-payment.

Balancing work with all of life's other responsibilities can be a challenge, and Madison County Hospital provides a work-life benefit that can help. The EAP (Employee Assistance Program) plan offers confidential access to professional consultants, as well as online resources, to assist you with family, parenting, and dependent care; education; daily living and convenience; work and career growth; health and well-being; and financial and legal advice.

Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
Madison County Hospital provides basic life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance of one times each eligible employee’s annual base salary rounded up to the next $1,000.

Supplemental and Dependent Life Insurance
Employees may purchase additional term life insurance equal to 1x, 2x, or 3x the employee’s annual base salary rounded to the next $1,000. Coverage may also be purchased for spouse and dependent children.

Short and Long Term Disability
All full-time and part-time benefits eligible employees are eligible for short term and long term disability. If an employee should become disabled, the plan provides 60% of their base weekly salary after a 7-day waiting period. If an employee remains disabled beyond 26 weeks, they become eligible for long term disability. The plan provides 60% of the employee’s base monthly salary.

Colonial Supplemental Insurance
Employee’s may choose to purchase Cancer Expense Protection, Personal Accident Expense Protection, Critical Illness Protection, Universal Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability through Colonial.

Retirement Plan
Madison County Hospital sponsors a defined contribution pension plan to provide income for retirement. Employees may choose to contribute to receive matching funds.

Flexible Spending Account
Flexible spending accounts allow an employee to set aside money each pay period on a pre-tax basis to reimburse themselves for eligible medical and/or dependent care expenses.

Paid Time Off (PTO)
Paid Time Off is accrued each pay period based on hours worked.

Shift Differential
Shift Differential is extra compensation paid for working evening and night shifts.

Weekend Differential
Madison County Hospital provides extra compensation for working weekends.

Credit Union
Credit Union services are available through Western Credit Union and include the following: checking accounts, loans, IRAs, Savings Bonds, Christmas Club, and share certificates.

Tuition Reimbursement
Financial assistance is offered to employees who participate in approved education programs. Employees are required to give a one year commitment.

Meal Discount
Madison County Hospital provides a discount on meals purchased in the cafeteria.
