Breast care services

At the Battelle Breast Care Center at Madison County Hospital, every patient is special. Our goal is to provide educational resources, diagnostic and treatment options, and the best possible care — all personalized to meet the unique needs of each patient.

We offer:

  • Digital mammography (Learn more)
  • Breast ultrasounds
  • Needle-guided breast biopsies
  • Breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Stereotactic biopsy
  • Sentinel node biopsies
  • Lymphedema rehabilitation — offered through our Rehabilitation Department (Learn more)
  • Breast care clinics — mammograms at no out-of-pocket cost (Learn more)

We also offer a Breast Care Specialist to assist patients before, during, and after the diagnostic and treatment process for breast cancer. The specialist can accompany you to appointments, answer questions and assist you in evaluating various treatment options.

In an effort to get more residents screened and treated, The Madison County Hospital Foundation was awarded a grant from The Columbus Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The funds are used to support breast cancer screening, treatment, and educational services for residents in Madison County.

Services are available, of little to no expense for patients, to assist with screening and treatment costs, even if you have insurance.
